Leonard joined Nordic Patent Service as a student assistant in April 2017 and has been working with patentability searches and investigations. He will start as a Trainee Patent Attorney in March 2018.

Leonard graduated in chemistry from ETH Zurich with a specialization in computational chemistry and polymer catalysis. He then went on to do a second Master’s degree, this time in molecular biology with a focus on drug discovery and design.

Leonard has conducted research at ETH Zurich and EPFL (Switzerland) and at the University of Copenhagen. He has worked as a research intern in industry and interned with a Zurich-based patent firm prior to joining Nordic Patent Service. During his studies, Leonard has worked as a teaching assistant in physical and general chemistry.

His main fields of expertise are nano- and biotechnology, catalysis, polymer and peptide chemistry, and pharmaceutical chemistry.
