Leonard Floryan joins as a trainee patent attorney in the Chem/Biotech section

Leonard joined Nordic Patent Service as a student assistant in April 2017 and has been working with patentability searches and investigations. He will start as a Trainee Patent Attorney in March 2018.

Leonard has a strong interest in industrial chemistry, in particular polymer catalysis, pharmaceutical chemistry and biotechnology. He studied both chemistry and molecular biology at ETH Zurich, obtaining his chemistry degree with a thesis on the initiation pathway in Cr-based olefin polymerization catalysts and his molecular biology degree with a thesis on predicting affinity-enhancing mutations in peptide-based drugs.

Furthermore, during his studies, Leonard carried out an internship in the chemical industry where he worked on the development of computational protocols for the prediction of polymerization kinetics.

We look forward to welcoming Leonard to our team!
